We're doing our fun #americancrafts feature tomorrow so we're finishing up Winter Week today with a homey card by Gillian Nelson (Blog: Gillian Nelson | Instagram: @gnelson05 | Pinterest: @gilliann | Twitter: @GillianNelson05):
Supplies: Amy Tangerine Stitched (STCHDS-68953) – Flora Paper, (368979) – Felt Ball Garland; Studio Calico South of Market (332194) – Sequins; DIY Shop (366609) – Sequins, Mini Stapler (366900); ZAZZ! Glitter Glue (ZAZZ-27414) – Crystal; Cardstock (AC71259) – 12×12 White, (AM710-79) – 12×12 Stone; Die Cut Machine – Silhouette Cameo
How to: Trim down a sheet of 12×12" gray cardstock down to your preferred card size. Cut a ~3.5" square from the patterned paper and also from the white cardstock. Using a die cut machine or a square punch cut four squares out of the piece of white cardstock creating the look of a window pane. Adhere the patterned paper to the card front and layer the window pane over it. Trim a 4" long section from the felt ball garland and slide the balls along the twine so that they are right up against each other. Glue the garland piece along the bottom of the window pane. Adhere sequins in a scattered pattern over the window, adding a dot of ZAZZ! glitter glue to the center of each for extra sparkle and dimension. Type or handwrite "think cozy thoughts" on a strip of white cardstock and staple it to the bottom front of the card.
