Step 1: Gather your supplies: Wood, White acrylic paint, Grey mist, Paint brush, Glassine bags, Hot glue gun, Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Collection 6×6 paper pad, Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Collection, and embellishments
Step 2: Give the piece of wood a coat of white acrylic paint and leave it to dry. Once it is dry brush over a bit of grey mist.
Step 3: Once the paint and mist are dry, place the glassine bags onto the wood to get an idea where you want them to go. I placed them with the openings on the right/left hand sides. Glue the bags down with adhesive (I used a hot glue gun).
Step 4: Start decorating the glassine bags with embellishments from the Polka Dot Collection. I layered patterned papers, frames and stickers. I also printed the names of my sons onto some cardstock and added those to each bag.
All finished and ready to fill with ideas of things to do for 2014!
