The Best Ideas for Kids Suncatchers Kit by Erica Fields

Hello crafty friends! Erica on the the American Crafts blog. Today I am excited to share a new kit called “The Best Ideas for Kids” kit. You can find these kits at your local Michaels stores. They have several different themes to choose from. Today I will be sharing the “Suncatchers Kit”. This is the perfect way to get your get kids creative juices flowing.

The Suncatcher kit is perfect for children 5 and older. It comes with a set of instructions, clear adhesive paper, die cut shapes, tissue squares, and adhesive dots. The only tool you need is a pair of scissors. The first thing you want to do is choose the die cut shape you want to work with. I chose the butterfly and the rainbow. Next step is to peel the paper off the acetate sheet to expose the sticky side. Press the die cut shape into the sticky side.

Now the fun part! Using the tissue paper squares, choose colors you want. Decorate in any color combination you choose. After you completely cover the die cut, adhere another acetate sticky sheet over the die cut shape. Firmly press down to make sure it is all adhered. Next step is to cut any excess tissue paper around the die cut shape.

Then apply the adhesive dots and stick on a window to enjoy!

I hope that you are inspired to give this a try with your children or grandkids! It’s so simple and easy to make! Definitely a fun way to spend time with your family.
