Most women love bags and they also love flowers. Why not combine these two in a fun DIY project? It’s me, Sandra, and I’m kicking off the new year with a stylish seed storage idea. One of my new year’s resolutions is to grow pretty flowers on our balcony. So I gathered a variety of flower seeds and I created the cutest purse to keep the seeds until Spring starts. I used the charming Marigold collection by Maggie Holmes. This collection comes with a lot of wonderful floral designs – just perfect for today’s paper crafting project. I used a cut file to make the purse. Let’s look at the project:

How to: I picked my favorite patterned papers from Marigold. Next, I made the cutest little pockets to store my flower seeds. You can create paper pockets without any effort with the Pocket Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers. Just follow the instructions that come with the board. Once the paper is cut and scored, glue the paper with double-sided adhesive tape.

Next, I cut blank pieces of white cardstock. Then I used a slick writer pen from AC to write down all the details about the seeds: the name, the time when it’s best to sew the seeds, and how much light they need.

After I had poured the seeds into the paper pockets, I used a cut file and cut the purse with my cutting machine. Look at all the cute seed pockets and the stylish bag:

I can’t wait until Spring starts! In the meantime, the purse that I placed on a shelf will remind me of my new year’s resolution.

And now it’s your turn to create something beautiful to remind you of your goals for the new year! Always remember to create something that warms your heart and that makes you want to achieve YOUR goals.
