Hello everyone, it’s Kylie back with you today with some Spring scrapbooking inspiration. I love to create paper flowers for my scrapbooking pages and always find myself thinking ‘you can never have enough flowers’. They make me feel so happy! With Spring fast approaching I thought it would be fun to document a photo using rainbow colored flowers.
For my layout I have used the Go the Scenic Route paper collection by Paige Evans. The rainbow of colored papers were perfect for what I had in mind for my completed page. There are many ways you can create paper blooms but I like to use a cut file design which has also been designed by Paige. The particular flower I used had seven layers which enables you to create lots of lovely dimension. I resized them so they were different sizes for my page and cut them from several different papers. Once they have been cut out I like to turn each petal up slightly before adhering each layer together.
For the background paper I have used a very light blue plain cardstock and added some torn strips of Paper 17 throughout the center and towards the bottom. It was so simple yet looked really effective once I had layered my blooms over the top. I like to position the flowers before adding my photo to make sure I am happy with the balance. The leaves are then added once everything is in place and are a good way to fill any gaps or spaces you may have. It instantly brings your flowers to life once the leaves are added!
Some gift tags from the die cut pack were added in behind my photo, I felt that it needed a little extra something and I was able to tie a string bow to the top of one. My photo was adhered to the background using foam adhesive squares which lets it sit up from the background for dimension.
Once I was happy with the overall shape and layout design, I was able to complete my page with a fun bright title using the Alpha Foam Thickers. Some butterfly stickers were also added and I made sure to mix up the color designs and sizes. These were also added with foam adhesive so that they looked as though they were floating over the page.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Spring themed layout today and it inspires you a little with your own layouts! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!
