Maria Lacuesta

Short bio: I am a blogger, designer, and memory keeper living in the Boston area with my boyfriend Ray. When I'm not happily crafting paper and pixels for my shop and blog, you can find me enjoying the neighborhood I love and dreaming of my next project. I believe in cultivating a happy life and, for me, that means creating something every day and giving thanks for all the little things that make life so wonderful.

How did you get started scrapbooking? I love all things design-related and started scrapbooking with my first Project Life album in 2012. I have so much fun combining my love of paper with modern memorykeeping and graphic design. Most of my projects incorporate digital elements, typography, and die cuts into the composition.

What is your favorite American Crafts product? It's so hard to choose, but I'm a huge fan of all the digital collections available because of the added creative freedom they provide.

How to: I created my title in the bottom right corner using a journal card from the Dear Lizzy Charm Digital Collection. I found a journal card that I really liked and just traced around the typography to create the die cut

How to: I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a large and bold sentiment out of kraft paper. Then, I layered my die cut over glitter tape to add some interest and texture.
