Short bio: I find creative contentment in documenting the EXTRAordinary of everyday life with photos + words + an eclectic mix of scrapbooking supplies. My designs often include some combination of Silhouette cuts, sewing, misting, white space, and graphic lines. I enjoy trying new techniques and implementing some of the latest trends while staying true to my own design aesthetic. My designs have been published in issues of Scrapbook Trends, Cards, and Create magazines and I currently design for Cocoa Daisy Kits, Come On Get Crafty (an online papercrafting store), and Chic Tags.
How did you get started scrapbooking? I have always been a creative soul with a sentimental heart for documenting my life and the lives of my loved ones, but scrapbooking in the traditional sense really became a front-running hobby for me after the birth of my first son.
What is your favorite American Crafts product? Wow! So difficult to name just one, but I do love the endless varieties of Thickers!
The "summer treats" die cut was the inspiration for this layout and I loved using it as part of my title work! A few hand stitches and machine help add some texture and repetition of design.

This simple little project was inspired by the DIY Shop Wooden Tags and is a project that is fun to do by enlisting the help of your kiddos. I decided to play off the cute hearts in the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer Flying Kites patterned paper and stitch them down so that there appeared to be cascades of them strung along the page. I repeated the heart theme several times across my design with embellishments and added my journaling with my vintage typewriter.
