Seascape Wooden Coasters by Sana Khader

Hello crafty friends! This is Sana Khader here on AC blog again with a great home DIY project. Resin coasters are one of my favorite things to make and today I am showing you a few seascape wooden coasters I made using the Color Pour Resin line.

I used UV resin this time and it’s so much easier and quick this way! You need a UV lamp to cure the resin and the coasters will be ready in 3 minutes. Let’s get started!

Before you begin the project, ensure all your supplies and coasters are clean and free of dust or fingerprints. And most importantly, wear gloves to protect your hands.

To make these beach inspired resin coasters, you need to mix each of the desired colors with UV resin in separate cups. Use a stirring stick and mix the resin well for 1 minute.

Pour the resin mixes one by one into the coasters. Feel free to take liberty here. You can decide the designs you would like to create on your coasters. I started with a first pour to level the surface inside of the coasters and to evenly coat the bottom of the coasters, you can tip it slightly from side to side.

After you have poured the resin, it’s time to add the extra elements. Randomly spread them – there are no rules here! A few options are glitter, flakes, and designed acetates.

Also, I am always on the lookout for things I can use for my DIY projects. In this ongoing search, I recently collected a few shells at the beach that I thought would help in making any beach inspired projects.

Once you have the shells placed, pour another layer of resin to hold them in place. Many bubbles will pop on their own and it’s totally normal. To remove bubbles in the resin, you can use a heat tool, the one I used here is the heat gun from We R Memory Keepers. On the same note, I refrained from removing excess bubbles just so that it creates a ripple effect as it’s a sea themed project.

Once you are done with the design, keep the coasters underneath the UV lamp for at least 3 minutes. And that’s it! Your coasters are ready to use!

Thank you so much for stopping by this post today. See you all very soon!
