How to: Cut off the manufacturer´s stripe and glue on the bottom part of the paper, then add another stripe from a different paper, slightly smaller than the strip you added before. If you like, tear the paper to add a ‚used look‘. Use a border punch on the top edge of the layout, then glue a piece of paper behind the cut out area, this will emphasize the punched out paper. Arrange a photo and die-cuts/journaling cards on the layout, glue them down and add the title on top of the photo. Add masking tape on the bottom part, stamp and apply handwritten journaling. If you like, decorate the lower part of the layout with die-cuts. Also apply masking tape right next to the middle cluster, it will separate the left and right side of the layout. To embellish the right side of the scrapbooking page, use different punches to cut out shapes like triangles, banners and stars. Arrange them next to the vertical masking tape. Also use the scraps: create a stencil with the leftovers from the banner punch – mix neon acrylic paint and modeling paste, apply it onto the stencil and cut out the banners (after they have dried, of course). If you like, use 3D foam dots to adhere the neon banners – this will add dimension to your page.
Supplies: White (AM710-81) – White Cardstock, Cutup 5" (64200) – Scissors, Double-Sided Super Sticky Tape (61753) – This To That Adhesive, Foam Tab (61710) – This To That Adhesive, Punch Star (KOP63114) – Knock Outs Punch, ZAZZ platinum (ZAZZ-27413) – ZAZZ Glitter Glue, Stickers (366778) – Daydreamer Accent & Phrase Stickers, kraft card (366659) – DIY Shop Cards, banner folder (366740) – Daydreamer Embossing Folder; Other: sewing machine, Big Shot
How to: This card can be created very easily and without tons of supplies – you can even use your scraps! You need a kraft card from American Crafts’ DIY Shop collection, white cardstock, patterned paper, ZAZZ glitter glue, an embossing folder and stickers. Cut a piece of white cardstock into the desired size, then use an embossing folder to add accents. I used the banner die from Dear Lizzy´s Daydreamer collection. Glue the cardstock on top of the kraft card, then take a smaller piece of white cardstock, punch two stars into it, keep one of the punched out stars and apply ZAZZ glitter glue onto it. The glue dries quite fast, but put the star aside to let it dry. Glue patterned paper behind the punched out stars on the white cardstock and add stitches with a sewing machine. Leave the thread long for an extra bit of shabby chic. Use 3D foam dots to adhere the smaller white cardstock onto the card. If you like, distress the edges with a scissor. Take a sticker from the Dear Lizzy´s Daydreamer collection and apply it onto the card, use 3D foam dots to let it pop out of the page. Then glue the glitter star onto the card. To create a few more highlights, use ZAZZ glitter glue and apply small dots in a vertical line.
