Planning for the New Year

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is over for another year! I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday! But today I want to turn your attention to the next big event: the new year! And more specifically, planning for it! I’m excited to share the first couple of pages in my 2017 planner! So let’s take a look shall we?

I use an Erin Condren planner and typically keep it pretty simple. The colors in the Dear Lizzy Saturday collection are just so fresh that I couldn’t resist using them to start the new year in my planner!

We are heading out for a little beach vacation early January so the first page will be perfect for jotting down last minute packing and to-do lists. And those black stickers? I just love the quotes and they were just the thing for a New Year’s page!

The next double page spread in my planner is the first full week of 2017! As we are on vacation I don’t need a lot of space to write appointments and such so I just embellished as I pleased! A couple of my favourite supplies to use are the washi strips and puffy stickers as they don’t add any bulk to my planner.

Something fun I’ve decided to do is to have us fill out resolutions for the new year! I found these printable lists on Pinterest from this site.

I printed them out on white cardstock and trimmed them down. I’ve then used a fun paperclip to add them into the front of my planner to fill out on January 1st! I may even adhere them into my planner as a friendly reminder!

I hope you’ve liked having a peek inside my planner for next year and perhaps even inspired you to get started on your own! There’s nothing like a fresh planner page to get you thinking about goals and dreams!
