Love is in the air on the AC blog today. It’s me, Sandra, and I’m sharing cute Valentine’s Day cards with the Marigold collection by Maggie Holmes. I LOVE to make cards. It’s one of my favorite papercrafting things to do! And cards are even more fun to make with lovely papers and embellishments. The floral designs from Marigold make it easy to create stunning and lovely cards to give to your most favorite people on Valentine’s Day. Let’s have some fun today. Now grab some patterned paper, white cardstock, stickers, and ephemera and get creative!

I created five cards with different designs. Most of the cards are 4×6 inches in size. For some, I grabbed cards from the Boxed Cards Set from Marigold and used these as the card base. Tip: The 12 x 12 Marigold paper pad comes with lots of designs, and I’m sure you will find patterns to use for your cards. If you only have embellishments from Marigold, don’t worry. Just combine them with white cardstock and create layers with stickers and ephemera pieces to achieve great results. That’s what I did on my first Valentine’s Day card. I attached chipboard stickers onto the card base and added the title with black alpha stickers. I LOVE the deer and the swan ♥.

For the second card, I used a card base from the Marigold Boxed Card Set. Then I attached three strips of different patterned papers to create a fun block design. I finished off the card by adding chipboard stickers and golden sequins. I love the simple design of this card.

The next photo shows a cute extra tag that I created. Just to make YOU happy 🙂 and to help you have a great day!

The third card combines papers with bold patterns and a layered center piece. You can create layers easily with foam pads. Just stack the stickers and ephemera pieces on top of each other, and add the pads in between. Just as if you are were creating a sandwich. Tip: Add a golden heart charm as a special detail.

For the fourth card, I used one of the journaling tags from the Marigold Ephemera Pack and I added three embellishment clusters. Tip: Layer two butterflies to achieve a dimensional look. Instead of using liquid glue, I used a stapler to attach the butterflies.

For the final card I used an elegant vellum paper background and added three chipboard rose stickers. This is such an easy way to create a card to say “Love you'” and it reminds me of a wonderful Spring day.

I hope you like my Valentine’s Day Card inspiration. Now head on over to your crafting table and put some LOVE into your projects ♥.
