Short bio: Hi, my name is Alissa Fast and I'm so excited to be guest designing for American Crafts. I'm still pinching myself after getting the email from Paige. I live in Ferndale, WA with my dear hubby of 27 years and our little kitty, who happens to be a Hurricane Katrina survivor from New Orleans. I work full time in Social Media for a wireless phone carrier and spend my off time scrapbooking, taking photos, walking, spending time with my mom, and watching the Seattle Seahawks. We love the Seahawks up here in Washington State.
How did you get started scrapbooking? Scrapbooking has always been a part of my life. In high school and college I cut out words from magazines and used stickers and photos in the old style paper scrapbooks. I discovered the current form of scrapbooking when I started my job 14+ years ago. On a lunch break, I discovered a little LSS across the street and I was hooked.
What is your favorite American Crafts product? Let's see, this is a tough one. I think my all time favorite product is Thickers. You always need a title and the variety of Thickers is endless. I love the dimension on my pages and projects.
Tip: Use up your scraps to make a big impact title. Hand draw the number/letter in pencil on the back ground and then cover the pencil with the punched pieces, die cuts and rub ons.
