How to Add Multiple Photos to Layouts

Hiya! Jamie here and I’ll admit, I totally love my pets! Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always loved animals. For the longest time I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. But that idea was quickly squashed once I volunteered at a vet clinic. It hurt too much when an animal was really sick or injured. Now I’m content to focus my energies on rescuing these lovely creatures.

I created this page using Shimelle’s Little by Little collection. There are so many awesome critters in the line! I appreciate that none of them are pets exactly, but I still think they work for this page about my love for animals.

I combined recent photos with vintage photos to highlight how animals have been a big part of my life since I was young. The two current photos are ones that I probably wouldn’t have scrapbooked since they’re both a bit random. But they work on this page. All of the photos show me interacting with my pets.

Color is such a big part of this collection. There are some really great bold colors featured! Since I’ve been creating so much on white backgrounds lately, I opted to switch things up and used this teal pattern instead. Since its a small repeating background, it doesn’t overwhelm the photos and journaling cards I used to make up the design. Also, I left the branding strip on the bottom and cut off a bit of the top instead. I like the visual interest anchoring the bottom of the page.

For the main design, I added my photos and journaling cards in a grid. But to add interest, each was a different size. I like how organic but structured it feels. I included bits of gold around the layout and embellished very minimally, with an enamel dot, puffy sticker and button. Voila!
