Holiday Tag Banner Layout by Victoria Calvin

Hello friends! It’s Victoria (@victoriamariescraps) and I am back with a new 12×12 layout featuring a fun holiday tag banner. For this project, I used the stunning Hey Santa collection by Crate Paper.

The holiday season is just around the corner and like many scrapbookers, I am excited to create holiday themed layouts! For today’s project, I used tags to create a whimsical banner as a focal point on a 12×12 layout. Using one of the cut apart patterned papers from the Hey Santa Collection, I cut 8 tags of various sizes and layered them together to form a banner.

Next, I ran black and white twine through the top of each tag to give the appearance that the tags are hanging on the layout. For added dimension, I backed each tag with foam dimensional tape by American Crafts.

For the background, I created a band of patterned paper, positioned in the middle of the layout. To the band, I adhered the banner and a 3.5 x 5 inch photo. The ends of the black and white twine were looped and trimmed for added movement and interest.

To the top left of the layout, I added the chipboard sticker “Christmas Magic” from the Hey Santa Chipboard Sticker Sheet, and the phrase sticker “merry and bright” from the Hey Santa Sticker pack.

As a finishing touch, I adhered a few charms and chipboard stickers on the tags in addition to a scalloped die cut oval that houses the journaling for this layout. Lastly, a tag was added to the top right of the photo along with a chipboard mistletoe sticker.

And with that, this holiday tag banner layout is done! I hope you are inspired to use tags on your next crafty project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
