What's better than one week of scary fun? TWO weeks of scary fun! Halloween is on Friday so we're spending the week celebrating this ghoulish holiday. Gillian Nelson (Blog: Gillian Nelson | Instagram: @gnelson05 | Pinterest: @gilliann | Twitter: @GillianNelson05) is up to "bat" with a monstrous double-page spread:
Supplies: Haunted Hollow (368904) – 12×12 Paper Pad, (368678) – Wisecrack Thickers, (368676) – Eek Decorative Tags, (368675) – Full Moon Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, (368680) – No. 31 Wood Veneer; DIY (366900) – Mini Stapler; Pen (CSGP-62585) – Candy Shop Gel Pen White; This to That (AMF617-10) – Foam Tab Adhesive Squares; Cardstock (AC712P12-47) – 12×12 Primaries Pack
How to: Trim houndstooth patterned paper and black cardstock down to 8.5×11. Cut a large oval from black cardstock. Cut a slightly larger oval from orange patterned paper and use it to mat the black oval. Adhere ovals to the houndstooth paper. Adhere strip of photos across the center of the ovals. Cut triangles from the Halloween text patterned paper and ink the edges. Adhere the triangles to the upper and lower edges of the black oval, using foam tabs to pop some of the "teeth" from the background. Adhere the wood veneer circle, overlapping the center photo. Write journaling on black cardstock using a white gel pen. Hand cut a jagged border from the Halloween text patterned paper and adhere it to the bottom edge of the black cardstock. Layer a tag, die cut circle, and wood veneer banner and adhere them to the page in the bottom right corner. Staple the tag's tie to the background. Layer two die cuts and adhere them to the upper left corner of the page, using a foam tab under the smaller shape for dimension. Staple the die cut banner shape. Handwrite a text border along the top and bottom edges of the page using the white gel pen. Apply glitter Thickers to the bottom right edge for the date.
A "boo"tiful tutorial is in the works for tomorrow!
