This ain't no April Fool's joke – today we have an amazing Fine & Dandy guest designer: Alexandra Boehnke (and it also just so happens to be her birthday!)! (Blog: Alexandra Boehnke | Pinterest: @alexboehnke | instagram: @alexandraboehnke)
Short bio: My name is Alexandra Boehnke (nickname Alex) and I live with my husband in Frankfurt am Main in the middle of Germany. I’m 35 years old and my hobbies are reading, traveling, cooking, and baking, but my favorite hobby is scrapbooking. I work at the town hall in public administration.
How did you get started scrapbooking? I started scrapbooking at the end of 2009 after trying several creative techniques (for example crocheting, sewing, and knitting). Scrapbooking is a part of my life. It provides me with the necessary relaxation after a busy business day. Most of the time I create layouts but sometimes also mini albums, cards, or other projects. They are always colorful and I try several techniques. It makes me happy to create something!
What is your favorite American Crafts product? This is a difficult question. I love all the colorful products from American Crafts but my favorite products are the patterned papers. You can use them in so different ways. It creates amazing backgrounds, you can layer them, and create so lots of shapes or sizes with them.
Tip: If you use colorful pictures on your layout you need a calm background. But you can use colorful spots or some highlights on it.
