Hi AC fans! It’s Sandra here today sharing four cute fall greeting cards with The Avenue collection by Jen Hadfield. The cards are great to send special fall greetings to friends and family. The patterned papers and embellishments from this collection will make it easy for you to create unique fall-themed cards. I LOVE the wooden frame embellishments that come with this collection. And in addition to sharing four cardmaking ideas, I want to share a special technique to enhance these wooden frames: heat embossing. This technique comes in quite handy to alter and customize the frames. All you need is (white) embossing powder, a heat gun, and washi-tape. But, let’s take a look at the four cards first:

Let’s take a look at the card with the wooden frame. You can use the frame as it is. However, if you wish to customize it, I recommend the heat embossing technique. And here is how to do it:
- First, attach washi-tape onto the wooden frame to determine where the embossed part will end.
- Second, apply (white) embossing powder.
- Third, use a heat gun tool to heat the powder. And now, enjoy your customized wooden frame :).

Once you’ve altered the frame, glue it onto a card base with foam or liquid glue. To make the card base, use a patterned paper from The Avenue and cut it to size 4×6″. Tip: I layered a piece of delicate net lace fabric underneath the frame to add a fine structure.

The next card will surely make your friends and family happy. I glued a strip of patterned paper onto a wide card base (sized 4×6″). Next, I added six circle embellishments to achieve a layered look. Then I added letter embellishments to create the card title. Tip: Use foam to attach the title onto the card. This will add dimension in no time. Last but not least, the car embellishment rounds up the happy card design.

Next up is the third card. I layered one of the pre-made tags from The Avenue, a sheet of vellum paper, and a piece of patterned paper onto a card base (sized 4×6″). And I added a title with gold alpha stickers saying ‘Hello’. I love the check pattern of the card base. Its colors coordinate with the embellishment cluster that I created as the central element of the card.

And last but not least, let’s take a look at today’s final card. Can you spot the altered wooden frame on this card? I used rose-gold embossing powder to add a shiny touch to the frame embellishment. Also, I absolutely adore the leather tag that says ‘thank you’. It’s the item from The Avenue collection that I love most! And I used net lace on this card too to add a delicate structure to the card.

I hope you like my fall greeting card inspiration! And now have fun creating cute cards with The Avenue collection! Wishing you a lovely day!
