The moment I saw Shimelle's Starshine collection, I knew it would be a favorite. I love color and this line does it well! I used the acrylic stars as a large, but subtle part of the design. I like the contrast of the clear stars, embroidered starburst and the very colorful bed of layers in the center of the layout. The Starshine collection is perfect for telling this story of Buzz Lightyear and his "to infinity and beyond" adventures!
SUPPLIES: Shimelle Starshine (374039) – Apollo Paper, (374029) Pioneer Paper, (374038) Galileo Paper, (374021) Astro Paper. Shimelle Starshine (374059) – Plastic Buttons, Shimelle Starshine (374054) – Chipboard Stickers, Shimelle Starshine (374055) – Stampe and Notepad, Shimelle Starshine (374056) – Ephemera
How to: Start with the Apollo grid patterned paper. Build layers of patterned paper with Pioneer and Galileo patterned papers. Layer strips from the Astro patterned paper for the numbers and starts. Choose a few die-cuts from the ephemera pack and layer under the focal point photo. Add some hand stitching at the top of the photo creating a starburst pattern. Glue acrylic stars to the tops of the embroidery. Next, add acrylic "shine" word and red flair button for added dimension. Use the phrase stamp to add text to the upper left hand corner of the patterned paper.
