Happy Friday! For this last day of spotlights we’d like to introduce Tazhiana Gordon, Terhi Koskinen, Victoria Calvin, and Yui Oku!
Hello new friends! My name is Tazhiana Gordon (find me on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and my Blog) and I’m a 29 year old crafter from Brooklyn, NY. I live with my husband and two cats, Astoria and Minerva. I discovered the whole idea of memory keeping a few years ago after keeping albums of photos throughout high school. It wasn’t until August of 2016 that I stumbled onto the memory keeping community on Instagram and plunged headfirst down this rabbit hole. Since then, I’ve added different mediums to my repertoire and I think I’ve finally developed a personal style that’s a little chaotic, involves lots of mixed media, is pretty colorful and full of texture and dimension. I love just about all mediums this hobby has to offer, from pocket pages to mini albums to traveler’s notebooks to large traditional 12×12 scrapbooking. I think there is deep, deep value in telling your own story and that is what keeps me attached to the glue and the paper and the stickers. My creative goals include finishing a year of Project Life, dusting off my wedding album, and continuing to document a life well lived. When I’m not making, I’m drooling over what other people are making, writing, or listening to music. It’s an absolute joy to be able to share my stories and creations with you!
Hey friends, I’m Terhi Koskinen from Finland! You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and my Blog. Creativity is like fuel for me and I couldn’t be more grateful for the ride the world of paper crafts has given me. Scrapbook layouts, mini books, cards, and home decor are all my favorites, but if I had to choose one I would say mini books. Most days you can find me working away with pretty things in the corner in our living room, which I call a studio. If I’m not there, you might find me cuddling with a tall handsome man I call “hubs” or making dinner to two beautiful girls who call me “mom”. All three of them are usually the main subjects in our family scrapbooks and sometimes you might meet a couple of cavaliers from my photographs, too. Right now I’m taking my dream to the next level by studying graphic design and I hope it will be my door away from the nine to five to days full of creativity! I started playing with photos and pretty papers about ten years ago and since then I have had the pleasure of teaching my unique style in numerous events around the world and I always dreamed about joining the American Crafts design team. I have been here for two years now and feel very humbled to be chosen again for another term, my heart is so full of gratitude! Hopefully I will inspire you here at American Crafts to create lots of pretty projects. And I hope you never get bored with rainbow colors – I don’t!
