Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile! It's almost Easter, so today I have two card ideas for you! I love this holiday especially because we eat a lot of chocolate. For these cards, I used the Here and Now collection by Dear Lizzy. It is a very colorful collection that is perfect for Easter! I made a card in the shape of a rabbit and one in the shape of an Easter egg.
For the rabbit card, I started by drawing a rabbit head on a paper from the collection. Don't worry, you can use a template! Then I had fun creating a face for my rabbit. I started by cutting his cheekbones out of pink paper, then a nose and ears out of blue paper. To bring out the elements I sewed around the edges using matching colored threads. Last, I sewed a mouth and eyes.
To decorate my card, I cut flowers and foliage out of a paper from the collection. I love fussy cutting to create new embellishments. With my flowers I created a crown for my rabbit. I used 3D foam to add volume. I finished by adding a "Hello" sticker.
For my second card, I started by cutting an oval to create my Easter egg. Then, I trimmed it down to an egg shape. You could also use a template for this. I collected my scraps of paper and I stuck them at the bottom of my card. I never throw away scraps of paper because they can be used to create embellishments. I keep them in pockets classified by collections. Then I added a card with my message in the center of my card.
I wish you a happy Easter and I hope you liked these cards with Dear Lizzy's Here and Now collection. See you soon.
