Create an Album for Valentine’s Day by Lucile Peignon

Hello crafty friends, Lucile here. Today I’ll show you how to make an album for Valentine’s Day. I wanted to create an album that allowed me to add pages or photos when I wanted so I chose to make an album with two pockets. To make this album I used Paige Evans’ Go the Scenic Route collection. It is perfect for Valentine’s Day in terms of colors and embellishments.

I started by making the cover of my album. I cut 2 squares of 15x15cm in white cardstock then a 7x15cm strip in a paper from the collection. I bound my papers by sewing them together. I created a decorative binding with white thread – I love the look!

Then I decorated the front of my book. I cut the word “LOVE” out of white cardstock. I glued a paper on the back using 3D foams to add volume. I used the flower die cuts from the collection to decorate my letters. I finished by adding the word “adventure” on the center of my cover.

Then I made the inside of my album. I started by creating two booklets to add photos and anecdotes. I used envelopes that I glued together to create my booklets. Then I added papers from the collection and embellishments to decorate them.

Then I placed them inside my album. For that I created two white pockets that I decorated. For the moment I put my two booklets there but I can add other photos or memories I love the fact that the album can evolve over time.

I hope you like this Valentine’s Day album made with the Go the Scenic Route collection by Paige Evans. I’ll see you soon with a new creation!
