Christmas Star Book by Yui Oku

Hi friends! It’s Yui Oku here. I want to share a cute Christmas project using the Hey Santa collection by Crate Paper. This collection has a lot of cute icons! I couldn’t resist making a something cute with them. I especially love the snowmen holding the banner. I made a star book inspired them!

First l chose five icons: elf, house, Santa, tree, and snowman. I gathered two of each. Next, I decided something between them. I chose candies for the elf, a wreath for the house, presents for Santa, socks and ornaments for trees, and snowflakes for snowmen. Then I need to choose background papers and frame papers that matched with the icons.

The size of background paper is 3.5 × 7 inches. The frame is 3.5 × 5.25 inches. The width is 0.5 inches. I folded them in half and stuck only the shortest edges.

For the book cover, I used two 3.75 × 3.75 chipboards. It needs to leave spaces between the cardstocks. And don’t forget to put a ribbon before sticking inside pages! I found a perfect phrase for the title from the OH WHAT FUN paper. “We need a little christmas”. I put puffy stickers around the title. And then I added a pompom frame. Finally, it’s time to decorate each page! I used yarns from the gift wrap set for hanging icons. Here is the result:

Which page do you like? It was so fun to place all these cute decorations and see how everything came together. Thank you for stopping by. Wishing your family peace and love at Christmas and always. Happy holidays!
