Hello and welcome to the American Crafts Blog. It’s me, Sandra, and I’m sharing a super fun way to create a floral card background with the DIY Shop Brayer. All you need is a white card base, some Post-It-Notes, a flower die, an ink pad, a DIY Shop chalk applicator, and a brayer. Let’s have a look at the finished card before we jump right into the step-by-step tutorial.

How to: First, die cut flowers from Post-It-Notes and place them onto the white cardstock base.

Second, cover your brayer with ink by rolling it over the ink pad several times. Third, when your brayer is covered by ink, roll the brayer over the flowers on your cardstock base. The flowers work like a stencil. The space underneath the flowers will remain white.

Fourth, grab a chalk applicator and pick up some ink from the brayer. Fifth, cover white areas around the flowers with the ink on the chalk applicator.

Last but not least, add a large embellishment and a sentiment sticker. And your card is all done!

I hope you like my little tutorial to create a card background with the ‘DIY Shop’ Brayer. And now it’s time for you to get creative yourself. Why not try this technique on your next card?!
