Start with a large canvas, this one is 12×24. Choose a variety of pretty papers that go along with the mood of your sign.

Make a list of all sorts of fun beach words. I ended up getting my girls to help with this one. It is fun to see what they think about when thinking of the beach. They came up with sea shells and sunscreen which I had overlooked.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out all the words. Before cutting though I created the layout for my sign using a new page. As I cut out each word, I could reference back to my original design to check on the font and size.

Once all the words are cut out, I place them on the canvas to see how they were fitting together. I realized that I would have some extra space in a few places and decided to use Thickers to add words to the places for a dimensional touch.

Use Mod Podge to adhere it all together.

Add buttons or stickers for more decoration.
All finished and ready to display proudly in your home!
