Hello everyone, it’s Eva on the blog today, sharing an accordion mini album I made with the lovely Marigold collection by Crate Paper.
This accordion mini album has a twist because I trimmed the top to create a waterfall effect! To create it, I glued two strips of 6×12 inch white cardstock and trimmed a triangle on top. The right side of my paper was 6 inches tall, but the left side of my paper was only 3 inches tall. I scored the strip of paper every 3 inches and assembled my mini album.
For the cover, I used this gorgeous mustard paper and simply wrapped it around the mini. I added a strip of paper on top to keep the mini album closed.
I was going to glue the mini to the base, but I decided to create small pocket instead. I used stickers and die cuts to embellish the inside of the cover and that little pocket also.
I covered a few pages with the gorgeous patterned papers from the Marigold 6×8 inch paper pad, and made sure to include a die cut slightly coming out of the page.
One of my favorite embellishments are the vellum stickers and die cuts. You can add them to your pictures or to your papers and create unique layers!
Another favorite of mine are the Chipboard Stickers. I love the dimension they add to the project.
The die cuts have a variety of journaling spots and I used them to write about our 2 day trip to the beach.
I hope you like this project and that this small mini can inspire you to create your own!
Have a wonderful week!
